I watched reruns of Sex and the City last night and I forgot how happy and inspired Carrie Bradshaw made me feel.
When Carrie struts her 5’4″ frame along New York sidewalks in her 4″ heels while wearing the latest trends and creating her signature style. With a little help from Jimmie Choo, she always stood tall while going through her NY dramas,.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s flawless, petite body played mannequin to Patricia Field’s “trend setting fashions.” Women desired every piece of clothing and wished long and hard for Carrie’s closet and style. Even though some pieces would look ridiculous on most women – that was the hook of the show. What was Carrie going to wear this week, who would she end up with, Big or Aidan, and would she ever find true love?
I am having Sex and the City withdrawal and need another trend-setting, go-getting character to fill the void….I guess for now, I’ll just have to continue to watch the reruns until another fashion icon comes around. Anyone else feel this way?
