4 Nail Polish Shades You Need This Fall

I know, technically it’s still Summer but it’s never too early to start thinking about Fall. Especially when it comes to nail trends. Now that I’m living in South Florida, unfortunately I don’t see any chunky sweaters or boots in my near future, so I have a feeling that my nail polish colors will be a good way of expressing the Fall/Winter feel.

Here’s a list of 4 polish colors I will be using this Fall/Winter. What colors are your favorites?

Fall/Winter Nail Polish Trends
Okay, so the name really grosses me out, but the color is one of my favorites. There’s just something so edgy and strong about it but somehow it’s still classy. These are four of my favorites including: RGB in Oxblood, Tom Ford in Bordeaux Lust, Butter London in Tramp Stamp , and OPI in Got The Blues For Red.

Grey has never been more chic. It may seem bland and boring but think again! It’s classy and sophisticated and a                          great alternative to nude if you’re looking to branch out a bit. Here are some of my favorites including: Christian Dior                    in Vernis, E.L.F in Misty Haze, Essie in Cashmere Bathrobe, and NARS in Galathee.

Eggplant purples are pretty classic for Fall/Autumn. The color goes well with just about anything and is                                            sophisticated while still being fun and edgy. Here are some of my favorites including: Chanel in Vamp, OPI in                                Casino Royale, Dolce & Gabbana in Soft Plum, and Essie in Carry On.

Nail Polish Colors Fall 2013

Nude colors are always a staple in my polish drawer. They’re good for any season and can be so different depending                     on what tint you pick. Here are some of my favorites in a pink undertone, beige undertone and peachy undertone:                           YSL in Beige Leger, Tom Ford in Naked, Essie in Angel Food, and Nordstrom Nail Color in Feeling Flushed.

Petite Celebrities In Pixie Cuts

Pixie cuts can be daunting. You have to be pretty daring to chop off all your hair but these three petite celebrities have done it and I think they look wonderful!

Petite Haircuts

(From left to right) Dannii Minogue, 5’2 has her hair layered throughout the sides and front to lighten the length and create a natural look. Michelle Williams, 5’4 wears her platinum pixie cut perfectly and the cut really highlights her bone structure. Halle Berry, 5’4 has become known for her signature pixie cut. Halle’s pixie is more edgy and sexy than the other two looks.

The best face shapes for pixie cuts include, oval (because oval face shapes can pull off just about anything), round, heart and square.

Would you ever go for the pixie cut?

Ariana Villegas: “Flawed And Chic ”

A few weeks ago I shared a post about the new face of BCBGMAXAZRIA contest. Little did I know, this inspired fellow petite, Ariana Villegas to enter the contest!

Bcbg contest

Here is Ariana’s entry:

“I’m 5 feet tall, I don’t have the modelesque figure and my facial bone structure is average. I think I am the face of BCBGMAXAZRIA Spring 2013 because I am not the cookie cutter model. The brand always showcases clean, simple and sophisticated designs in their clothes. I rarely saw over-the-top clothes from BCBGMAXAZRIA. I always interpreted this as a statement that the BCBGMAXAZRIA woman does not need complicated and elaborate clothes to exude her confidence and individuality. The BCBGMAXAZRIA woman is comfortable with who she is and loves her flaws. I am definitely not perfect in a lot of ways but I try to work things out by accepting my imperfections and using these to find my individuality and inner glow. At the end of the day, these flaws make me uniquely chic and that makes me a BCBGMAXAZRIA woman.”

Go Ariana!! I always love to hear about petite women going after what they love so I’m supporting Ariana by voting and hope that you will vote for her as well! We have to support petite models everywhere!

Vote for Ariana here and show her your support! You can vote multiple times through Facebook and Twitter too.

Hurry, voting ends March 29, 2012.
