Links I Love

What would we do without the internet? I mean just think of all the things you’ve learned while getting lost searching from one website to another or while scrolling through endless pins on Pinterest. Because of this, I’ve decided to start a weekly “Links I Love” post. Not every link will be related to petite fashion but instead, will be links to things that have caught my eye and are on my mind for that week. Hope you enjoy!

Links I Love 1

1. This Old Navy Crew-Neck Pocket Tee is great. It’s super affordable and super comfortable. I bought one in white and ended up going back and buying it in five more colors. The label says hand wash but I tried the delicate cycle on my machine with a low heat “fluff” cycle on the dryer and it was fine. $8-$12.50

2. I’ve been trying to stay away from sugar but I had a meltdown recently while I was scrolling through my favorite food blog, Smitten Kitchen. Deb always has something tasty brewing in her kitchen and this week I came across her Salted Brown Butter Crispy Treats (A.K.A, rice crispy treats) and let me tell you, THEY. WERE. AMAZING. Whenever I’m cooking anything that involves melting butter I always love to brown it a bit for more flavor, I just never thought of it for rice crispy treats. Trust me, I’ll never go back.

3. While I was looking through my twitter feed earlier this week I came across this link that includes fifteen things which, “if you give up on them, will make your life a lot easier and much, much happier.” It’s definitely worth a read. Find it here.

4. I’ve been looking for a new pair of pointed toe pumps and came across these ‘Emma’ pumps from French designer Jean Michel-Cazabat. No more Old Navy Tee’s for a while. I will definitely be saving my pennies for these! 🙂

That’s it for now! Until next week…

Pinterest Inspired Look – Sequin Mini With A Tee

It’s really no secret, I’d accomplish much more during the day if it wasn’t for Pinterest. On the other hand, lots of really great things come from that “wasted time” spent on Pinterest and this is one of them.

Petite Fashion

I saw this photo of a sequin embellished mini skirt paired with an oversized basic tee and it caught my eye. When I think sequins, I think fancy, I think Vegas, I think night out on the town; but who says you can’t pair sequins with a plain tee during the day? For petites, you can’t go wrong with a mini skirt — the short hem gives you legs for days and makes you look taller than you actually are.

Below you’ll find a sequin embellished mini skirt I found at Topshop along with my new favorite t-shirt from Old Navy that I picked up almost every color and you should too. The scoop/v-neck cut on the shirt will make you appear longer and leaner. I would also add a delicate necklace to the outfit to help bring attention to your face and elongate your upper body.

Follow me on Pinterest here and I’ll follow you back so I can see all your inspiring pins as well. 🙂

Have you ever worn the sequin mini and causal t-shirt look?

“Dress How You Feel And Love What You Wear…”

Hi Petites!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Here’s a quote that caught my eye over the weekend from petite celebrity, Kelly Osbourne (5’2). Whenever you’re feeling unsure about a piece of clothing or an outfit, remember this.
