Petite Style Guide: Watches

I’ve always had a serious thing for watches. It all started with the Minnie Mouse watch with the red leather strap. I wore that thing everyday Just like any accessory, a watch can really bring some life to your outfit. These days watches come in all shapes, patterns, colors and sizes just like these from The Branded Watch Shop. You can wear one alone or to make a statement, you can mix your watch with other wrist candy like bracelets and bangles.

Even if you have teeny tiny petite wrists like myself, don’t be afraid to wear a watch. There are so many different styles available today you can definitely find one (or two) that will work for your wrist! Here are a few watches that are really making a statement this season.

Winter White Out

Remember the old saying “don’t wear white after Labor Day” well, you can forget it now because white is going to be making its way right into Fall/Winter this year.

Can petites pull this look off? Of course! For petites, wearing white on white can be great because it accentuates your height by creating the monochrome look. Just make sure everything fits perfectly. Make sure your pants are ankle length and aren’t bunching at the bottom. Last but not least, watch where you sit! :)

Petite Celebrity Style: Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon (5’1) has always been one of my favorite petite celebrities. Last week, Reese was spotted running errands in Los Angeles wearing a pair of denim jeans rolled up at the ankle, a navy blue tee and some cute red pumps.

Want the look for yourself? Find all the pieces to Reese’s outfit below and check out more petite celebrity looks here.

3 Ways To Wear Leather This Fall

Leather Trend

The leather trend isn’t going away anytime soon. It was big for Spring and it’s continuing to be just as big for Fall/Winter. I wasn’t that into it for Spring because honestly leather and Spring just seem weird to me but leather and Fall, that I love! Because I live in Florida now and the hot/humid weather wont be leaving anytime soon (or ever for that matter), I figured I’d come up with a few different ways to wear the trend no matter what type of climate you live in.

1. The Classic Leather Jacket – I’d wear this look everyday if I could because I have a strange obsession with jackets but here in Florida, I’d melt. If you live in a milder climate and can pull this look off without melting, go for it! Here are a couple of my favorites in petite sizes:

2. Leather Skirt – Skirts are a great transition from Summer to Fall. Pair a leather skirt with a warm sweater if it’s cooler, add it with a blouse for work, or even dress it down with a causal tee. There are endless possibilities with a classic leather skirt. Here are a couple of my favorites in petite sizes:

3. Leather Accents – Accents are a great way to wear the trend if you’re in a warmer climate or are overwhelmed by too much leather. Tops with cap sleeves in leather, sweaters and jackets with leather arms, leggings with leather panels — these are just a few ways to wear the leather trend in small doses. Here are a couple of my favorite pieces in petite sizes:
