3 Ways To Wear Leather This Fall

Leather Trend

The leather trend isn’t going away anytime soon. It was big for Spring and it’s continuing to be just as big for Fall/Winter. I wasn’t that into it for Spring because honestly leather and Spring just seem weird to me but leather and Fall, that I love! Because I live in Florida now and the hot/humid weather wont be leaving anytime soon (or ever for that matter), I figured I’d come up with a few different ways to wear the trend no matter what type of climate you live in.

1. The Classic Leather Jacket – I’d wear this look everyday if I could because I have a strange obsession with jackets but here in Florida, I’d melt. If you live in a milder climate and can pull this look off without melting, go for it! Here are a couple of my favorites in petite sizes:

2. Leather Skirt – Skirts are a great transition from Summer to Fall. Pair a leather skirt with a warm sweater if it’s cooler, add it with a blouse for work, or even dress it down with a causal tee. There are endless possibilities with a classic leather skirt. Here are a couple of my favorites in petite sizes:

3. Leather Accents – Accents are a great way to wear the trend if you’re in a warmer climate or are overwhelmed by too much leather. Tops with cap sleeves in leather, sweaters and jackets with leather arms, leggings with leather panels — these are just a few ways to wear the leather trend in small doses. 4 Nail Polish Shades You Need This Fall

I know, technically it’s still Summer but it’s never too early to start thinking about Fall. Especially when it comes to nail trends. Now that I’m living in South Florida, unfortunately I don’t see any chunky sweaters or boots in my near future, so I have a feeling that my nail polish colors will be a good way of expressing the Fall/Winter feel.

Here’s a list of 4 polish colors I will be using this Fall/Winter. What colors are your favorites?

Okay, so the name really grosses me out, but the color is one of my favorites. There’s just something so edgy and strong about it but somehow it’s still classy. These are four of my favorites including: RGB in Oxblood, Tom Ford in Bordeaux Lust, Butter London in Tramp Stamp , and OPI in Got The Blues For Red.

Grey has never been more chic. It may seem bland and boring but think again! It’s classy and sophisticated and a                          great alternative to nude if you’re looking to branch out a bit. Here are some of my favorites including: Christian Dior                    in Vernis, E.L.F in Misty Haze, Essie in Cashmere Bathrobe, and NARS in Galathee.

Eggplant purples are pretty classic for Fall/Autumn. The color goes well with just about anything and is                                            sophisticated while still being fun and edgy. Here are some of my favorites including: Chanel in Vamp, OPI in                                Casino Royale, Dolce & Gabbana in Soft Plum, and Essie in Carry On.

Nail Polish Colors Fall 2013

Nude colors are always a staple in my polish drawer. They’re good for any season and can be so different depending                     on what tint you pick. Here are some of my favorites in a pink undertone, beige undertone and peachy undertone:                           YSL in Beige Leger, Tom Ford in Naked, Essie in Angel Food, and Nordstrom Nail Color in Feeling Flushed.

Petite And Sweet: Tiny Necklaces

Confession: I don’t wear a lot of jewelry.  Crazy, I know.  Call me lazy, call me crazy, whatever my reason is, I just don’t wear it that often.  The pieces I do wear tend to be pretty simple and dainty so when I read about this years big jewelry trend of tiny necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings I was pretty excited.  I just love the soft, barely there look when it comes to accessorizing.  Especially a simple chain with a single charm.  Don’t get me wrong though, I do enjoy throwing on a statement piece every once in a while.  Here are a few of my favorite pieces right now.

Do you like to keep your jewelry dainty or do you like to make a statement?

  • Fold Over Clutches

The first time I saw a fold over clutch this season was on petite celebrity, Victoria Beckham. I love the idea, I’m just not sold on how comfortable it is to carry a clutch around all day. What do you think of fold over clutches for the day?

Black and white: so classic, but so trendy this season. Try color blocking with black on the bottom, white on top and add a pop of color with a statement necklace, bracelet, or watch.
