Petite celebrity, Kellie Pickler (5’1) walked the red carpet recently in a zip-up white dress with a peplum top and fitted skirt. She completed her look with nude pumps and a gold clutch for a pop of sparkle. The neckline and nude pumps really help lengthen Kellie’s 5’1 frame.

Sizing is a crazy thing. Every designer, store, and label is going to be different. I can swim in a size 00 at one store and then go next door to Forever21 and find that I can’t even get an extra small over my hips. This is true everywhere. Just because something is labeled petite doesn’t mean it’s going to fit you perfectly and just because something ISNT labeled petite doesn’t mean it wont work perfectly for you.

Think outside the box. Look for tunic shirts that might work as a cocktail dress, cropped jeans that would work as ankle jeans, or ankle jeans that would work as regular jeans, and midi skirts that may work as a maxi!
