PF, Debbie Travis & Inspiration
Hey PF’s, sorry I missed yesterday’s post. I was out with my mom and nana – it was 3 generation of petite ladies out on the town! We went shopping, to eat Pho in China Town and had lots of girls fun – supplemented with wine and facials!
Today we went to the Ladies Who Launch event, titled BYOB (Be Your Own Boss). It was an amazing day spent with women who were tapping into and living their passions.
I spoke on the ‘Queens of the Web’ panel with the amazing women of the web; Ali DeBold of ChickAdvisor.com, Stephania Varalli of SweetSpot.ca and Ellen Mirza of LipstickPowdernPaint.com
There were many inspirational speakers, including Debbie Travis. There was one piece of advice that all speakers agreed on and that was “just ask!”
Just ask for what you want! You have nothing to loose when you take a risk and ask for what you want.
Just ask for a crazy opportunity, maybe a date with that guy at the coffee shop, a raise, your dream job or maybe just if they can order that sweater in your size!
Christa, I attended the Ladies who Launch event yesterday and as a recently started blogger, was so inspired by your success! I think your “just ask” advice that Debbie Travis echoed was totally spot on as well.
