Shop like a Petite Pro

Feel lost when you’re shopping?

Here are some guidelines to help you choose petite flattering clothing:

Dresses

Wrap Dresses any wrap dress style will be flattering on petites of all sizes.

Tailored Sheath Dresses with empire waists to draw the eye to the upper part of your body and create the illusion of length.

Tops

Sleeveless Tops or small cap sleeves

V-Necks rock a basic tee with skinny jeans and boots and you’ll be comfortable and confident in this elongated look (see Rachel for inspiration).

Wrap Tops figure flattering like the wrap the dress and elongating like the v neck, a true go to staple.

Three Quarter length sleeves not sure why, but this length is very becoming on us! Don’t believe me? See Rachel and Reese :)

Skirts

Pleated Skirts the vertical lines from the pleats will do the trick to draw the eye up and down. Pair that skirt with opaque tights and matching pumps and you’ll channel Reese’s character in Monsters vs. Aliens, lol – ok, not quite :)

A-line Skirts are friendly for all shapes as they graze the hips and draw the eye up. Also, a-line skirts often have a high waist to show off the smallest part of every woman (right below the rib cage) and accentuating (or creating) the hour glass shape.

Skirts with hemlines that are a bit shorter in front works well because it allows you the benefits of a shorter hemline to create the illusion of longer legs and the comfort of a longer skirt in the back.

Pants

Straight-leg jeans for the illusion of longer legs.

Mid Rise pants to elongate your torso.

Jackets

Tailored jackets that sit above or just at the hip without being too fitted.

Styles with pinstripes or vertical texture.

Now I know why I tend to love 3/4 sleeves. But I do love a pencil skirt, it makes me look long and lean.

I also love 3/4 sleeves! An easy way to get the same relaxed look when wearing long sleeves is to either push up (if wearing a knit top) or roll up (if wearing a dress shirt or blazer) your sleeves.

I like your website, very neat and attractive. I can't really comment on your topics because I have experience in women fashion. :)
